Porting a Google AdWords Campaign into Yahoo!

Yahoo! has recently implemented a number of improvements to their system, and the addition of new tools for advertisers to manage and track their campaigns. With these new tools, Yahoo! aims to make it easier for affiliate marketing publishers and advertisers to import an existing Google AdWords campaign, as well as create and manage affiliate advertising campaigns.

As one of the leading online advertising programs available, many internet marketing professionals use Google AdWords to promote their advertisers’ products and services. The service enables advertisers to reach a much wider audience through Google’s partner networks, which include AOL search, Netscape, Ask.com, and many others. However, with the improvements in the Yahoo! Search Marketing product, the company hopes to entice affiliate marketers and advertisers to move their campaigns into their ad network.

Yahoo! has also added a number of tools to help affiliates manage their campaigns:

  • Network Distribution Performance Report – this tool allows affiliates to get updates by traffic source at the campaign, ad group, and keyword levels.
  • Ad Delivery Report – using this, advertisers will be able to see where their ads are showing on Yahoo’s partner sites, pricing by partner, as well as the domain-level performance of their campaign.
  • Blocked Domains – this tool allow advertisers to block up to 500 domains. This can create a more targeted campaign and prevent the ads from showing in websites that are not relevant to the product or company.
  • Conversion-only Analytics – this tool is integrated in order to track conversions by domain, and record revenue earned with each transaction.

Yahoo! Search Marketing is gaining attention among affiliate advertisers and internet marketing professionals. Publishers can take advantage of the Yahoo! advertising network to widen their target market, as well as to better track and manage their online marketing campaigns.
