More SEO Plugins for Google Chrome

Google, SEO tips, search engine optimization |

Since its initial launch during the third quarter of 2008, Google’s Chrome browser has been getting some serious traction in terms of popularity and user base. This is mostly fueled by users who feel the need to jump ship from the Web browser that came with their operating systems who now see the values of fast and relatively secure browsing.

For online marketers and Web site managers, however, Chrome has a long way to go before it becomes an essential tool since Mozilla Firefox, the current SEO weapon of choice, is beefier and more open. Not that Chrome doesn’t offer some hefty marketing muscle with its close ties to Google Search, but Mozilla’s status as an open source platform is arguably an assurance of newer features and constantly improved existing ones that keeps it reliable—from its in-house and independent developers.

Despite these points, there are a handful of plugins for Google Chrome you can download and utilize to help you in your SEO journey. Here are three nifty additions into your Chrome SEO arsenal.

Chrome SEO
As of writing, Chrome SEO is one of the most popular SEO plugins for Chrome. It’s compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems and offers a variety of features for competitive analysis, keyword research and PageRank checks among others. Aside from its ties with search engines like Google and Yahoo, it also sources off a bevy of sites including Technorati, Digg, Delicious, and StumbleUpon.

SEOQuake for Chrome
Originally designed for FirefoxSEOQuake’s Chrome version pretty much carries the same features including a wide range of parameters which you can customize based on your needs. With sources including the usual bevy of services like Alexa, PageRank and SEMRush, it highlights nofollow links, keyword density and URL comparisons, and now adds new parameters like Internal/External Links display. In addition, you can also opt for the SEOQuake Lite which installs a small toolbar at the lower right corner of the browser which displays the Google PageRank and Alexa ranks of a site you visit for quick reference.

Kuber PageRank Checker
The Kuber PageRank Checker is one nifty tool you’ll probably want in your Chrome tool queue. Simply put, it will display the Google PageRank of any Web site you visit and it’s placed snuggly next to the address bar for convenience. However, if the current tab’s PageRank is not available, this tool will instead show you the ranking the domain itself.
